Canada introduced in 2015 the Express Entry program. It is not an immigration program in itself but rather a system used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that organizes immigration applications for three different federal immigration programs, such as;
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC),
The Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), and finally,
Federal Skilled Trades (FST).
To be considered eligible for one of these programs, the candidate must first submit an Express Entry profile to the pool for candidates. All the profiles submitted are ranked against one another through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), the system assigns each candidate a CRS score out of 1200 points.

The process time is 6 month.
– At least one year full-time of Canadian experience (skilled, technical work, professional work) or an equal amount in part-time within 36 months of the application date.
– Must have gained Canadian experience by working in Canada while under authorization and eligible to work and gain experience.
– Must meet at least a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5, in terms of writing, reading, listening and speaking (overall it is considered to be intermediate) or 7 (considered adequate intermediate proficiency) depending on the requirement of the workplace.
– Must live and work outside the province of Quebec.
Federal Skilled Worker is designated to workers with foreign experience who are willing to immigrate to Canada.
The minimum requirement for this program is to have skilled work, language proficiency and education.

Your age, education, work experience, a valid job offer, language proficiency in English or French, and adaptability
This program is assessed based on a 100 point grid, each time you pass a factor you gain a point, the current pass mark is 67 points out of 100.

– Language Skill Points (28 points)

speaking skills
To measure your language level and proficiency, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) uses different tests: Canadian language Benchmarks (CLB) for English; or, and Niveaux de compétence is linguistique canadiens (NCLC) for French. In order to get qualified, you must get a minimum of CLB or NCLC of 7 for 1 official language and CLB or NCLC of 5 for the second language if willing to earn points.

– Education (25 points)
If Canadian education, you must have a certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian institution; like a high school institution or a post-secondary institution.
If you completed your education in a foreign country, you must include an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report from a designated organization. This will show that your education equals a degree, diploma or certificate level in Canada.
All documents must be included as a proof when you apply for this program.
